Jesse Shaw is a furniture designer from Brookline, MA. He trained at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport Maine. In his second year, he earned the distinguished title of Fellow Resident, and was able to hone his skills under the guidance of master furniture makers. After obtaining his MFA in furniture design at SCAD, the graduate went on to become the lead furniture designer for Currey & Company a pioneer in home decor. Shaw's work has been featured in magazines and he has made guest appearances on the WGBH television show Rough Cut Woodworking with Tommy Mac. Jesse creates distinctive furniture and lighting designs for mass production, individual clients and private collections. His designs have been displayed at the Philadelphia Museum of Arts & Crafts, Wharton Eshrick Museum, Design Museum Boston. Savannah College of Art & Design Permanent Collection. He also teaches at the Elliot Street school in Jamaica Plain and CCAE in Cambridge.
Matt Dinneen was born and raised in Winchester, Massachusetts. He graduated from Lyndon State College with a BS in Business Administration. The son of an architect and jewelry designer, Matt was exposed to handcrafted art and design at a very young age, immediately expressing interest with working with his hands. In high school, Matt enrolled himself in an after school boat building and woodworking class where he gained the knowledge and skills to build Skiffs. After college, Matt worked as a brand ambassador for Vermont Ski Area Association and later as a GM in sales and marketing for City Sports. Throughout his career, Matt’s love for woodworking never left and once again he found himself enrolling in several woodworking classes. Matt was asked to join JShaw Furniture Design Company in early 2016, and has been Jesse’s right hand man ever since. Since joining JShaw Furniture Design Company, Matt has assisted in the design and build for many creative projects.
